We are seeking a Data Analyst for a fixed-term contract. This role will focus on leveraging existing datasets to create impactful dashboards and reports that enable informed decision-making. You’ll get to make an impact at a fast-growing company in GovTech by transforming raw data into actionable insights.

The position is a 3 month contract position with the possibility of being extended to permanent full time.

We are seeking a Data Analyst for a fixed-term contract. This role will focus on leveraging existing datasets to create impactful dashboards and reports that enable informed decision-making. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that align with business objectives.
- Apply statistical methods to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Dashboard & Reporting:
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau to visualize data and insights effectively.
- Write efficient SQL queries to extract data from existing databases, ensuring precision and clarity.
- Partner with stakeholders to tailor reporting solutions that meet specific needs.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences through clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Data Governance & Quality:
- Identify and address potential data issues or biases proactively.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by following industry governance best practices.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Strong experience in Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Knowledge of procedural logic concepts for creating advanced visualizations.
- Analytical Thinking:
- Critical thinking and statistical expertise to interpret trends and align data insights with business goals.
- Communication & Storytelling:
- Ability to work with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for delivering findings to diverse audiences.
- Project & Time Management:
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain data accuracy.
- A collaborative approach to working across departments.
- Familiarity with building production data pipelines or experience with no-code ETL tools for managing data pipelines.
- Familiarity with python
- Being based in Kansas City to collaborate with our team onsite, as needed.
